Norwegian Boathouse Wow. Just. Wow.

Norway got a little bit prettier when this boathouse was built.

Simple in form. Expressive in material. Meticulous in detail. Everything about this quaint gabled structure points cohesively to one thing: craft. Like grandmother’s baked apple pie, this boathouse was deigned with love and constructed with care. Norwegian architecture firm Tyin Tegnestue got pretty much everything right.

In fact, if I had a boat (and that’s a big if), i’d probably just leave it floating majestically in the water as I sat in the boathouse sipping whiskey and contemplating life. I’m not sure there’s any body of water that would grip me in the way this project has. I really have nothing left to say. I’ll leave you to enjoy the stunning images below. You’re welcome.
